Our Story

The Indian Hill Church felt a strong need to connect with the community of the Village of Indian Hill, allowing for the establishment of the Indian Hill Church Nursery School in the early 1970’s. The Indian Hill Church Nursery School classrooms are located within the church building. The Indian Hill Church and Nursery School are located on 10 acres that connect to the Red Bird Hollow walking trails. As an outreach of the church, the Indian Hill Church Nursery School has been able to meet the early childhood needs of not only the Village of Indian Hill, but also residents of Madeira, Mariemont, Loveland and Sycamore School Districts. We now are enrolling children of past students!

Our Commitment to: Discipline, Diversity, Disabilities and Non-Discrimination

At IHCNS, the goal of discipline is to help children develop inner controls, help the child verbalize instead of using physical actions, bring the child in touch with his/her feelings, establish appropriate and constructive behavior.

Our commitment to diversity is by serving a diverse population of children and families. We strive to provide a multi-cultural and integrated curriculum. In the classroom, pictures, books, puzzles, dolls, and dramatic play materials reflect a diversity of racial and cultural backgrounds, gender roles, and special needs and abilities whenever possible. Only current, accurate images of children and families of diverse backgrounds doing real like things are portrayed. Art and music include materials, artwork, songs and instruments from many cultures. We encourage families to share native customs, music, clothing, books, games and food with their child’s group.

Children with mental and/or physical disabilities have the opportunity to participate in all activities at the center. All children benefit when children with and without disabilities are served in the same setting. Children who do not have disabilities experience growth in social skills, increased tolerance of others and decreased fear of human differences.

The Indian Hill Church Nursery School does not discriminate for reason of race, creed, color, gender, religion, disability, national or ethnic origin in its admissions, scholarship or educational programs and activities.
